Stewardship

Time connotes commitment to specific organizations and activities within the church. Personally, it promotes our growth within the group, helps us to develop individual skills, and furthers the effectiveness of the church community. As a parent, it creates a role model for our children.

Talent speaks to those individual assets that we bring to the community. They may be personal talents, like our voices, our artistic abilities, or our cooking skills. They may be skills we have developed, like business or accounting, construction, group management, language, medicine, social work, or teaching, to name a few. But they may also be the basic “stick-to-it-tiveness” or perseverance that makes our inclusion in a project the difference between success or failure.

Treasure is always the most sensitive issues to address, because a large component of it involves MONEY! It, too, is significant not only for our personal commitment to the church community and, ultimately, to the prosperity of that community, but also as a role model for our children. Once again, in this land of opportunity and creature comforts, we have become accustomed to giving from our excess. God expects us to give from our necessities.

Parishes rely on the support (time, talent, treasure) of the parishioners. Your generous assistance in the past and present are greatly appreciated.
